My name is Adam Klouda and I live in Brno.

I am a self taugh painter, illustrator and graphic designer. I’m freelancing since 2018.

I am an artistic soul and my number one priority is to overcome my past self with every completed commission.

I combine art with technical skills. I welcome new challenges and collaboration with professionals.

I focus on acrylic painting, digital painting and illustration. I also design logos, graphics and handwritten fonts. I am able to paint a portrait or caricature that can serve as a gift for the people you hold dear. Mainly I paint on canvas using acrylics, or use digital media and print it on canvas or poster. I also welcome commissions on topics picked by you, or independently create a painting or mural that will fit perfectly into given space.

Are you looking for a mural? I can paint it for You. Interior or exterior, small scale or large scale, it doesn’t matter. I can make it come true. I am able to paint directly on the wall using acrylics, or paint it digitally and print it on wallpapers. I also use spray cans and brushes to paint on objects. And finally, I sculpt with clay.

I sell originals of my own paintings or reproductions of existing paintings and illustrations digitally printed on posters and canvases. I also sell clay sculptures and painted objects to decorate your interior.

    Born in Brno
First experiences with clay sculpting in kindergarten. Unfortunately, my sculptures of dinosaurs were stolen before I was able to collect them from the exhibition in the kindergarten's corridors.

I attended a clay sculpting course in the youth centre Sluníčko in Komárov from the first grade to 2007, but due to the Kuřim case it was closed for some time.

    Elementary School Tuháčkova 25
I was sure that I didn't want to follow an artistic career when I was choosing where to study next in 7th grade. I repeated it to all my course leaders and art teachers when they asked about me and what I want to do in the future. Apart from drawing into my notebooks in class or at home, I haven't further developed my creativity since then. I haven’t had a problem with any subjects, but in terms of foreign languages I was above average. For this reason I applied to a 6-year studium with extended teaching of German language.

Secondary Grammar School Křenová 36, Brno
I haven’t paid attention to art classes at this school very much. It was just another subject. I was writing poems and short stories in my free time. It was fun and it made me feel things. But I have to admit that I did it also because the girls liked it. I also explored my subconscious and explored the dream world - for this reason I kept a dream journal where I wrote everything, everyday for more than 2 years. I also experimented with lucid dreaming and attempted astral projection. I used to meditate regularly and was curious about the subconscious and psychology. I was fascinated with accursed poets, beatniks, writers Charles Bukowski and Chuck Palahniuk. I liked to listen to lectures by Terrence McKenna and Alan Watts on subconscious and perception of reality.

I bought my first drawing tablet Wacom Bamboo and began to amateurishly draw and model in graphic programs
Still, I wasn’t sure where to go next, so I was simply guided by reason and by my existing study results. I was good at foreign languages and didn’t mind technical subjects. I completed language certificates in German DSD - C1 and English FCE - B2 at this school. I knew how useful technical subjects such as physics, IT and mathematics are and I decided to apply to a new field of study at BUT - FEEC which seemed very promising because it combined languages, electrotechnology and IT.

BUT - FEEC - English in electrotechnology and IT - Bc.
I took up digital painting more seriously during my studies at university because the study itself didn’t fill the empty space in my heart. I bought my first professional drawing tablet Wacom Intuos M. By myself, I started to learn with graphic programs, followed other artists and tried to get better by tutorials available on the internet and books.

Assistant at projection/construction at Bosch Rexroth
I got my first small commissions in the field of illustration at this place. I drew many small designs for embossed folding knives made by Matěj Unčovský who worked at the IT department. At that time he was starting his own business - https://uncovsky.com/
  • 2015 - 2020
Figural drawing course led by Aleš Chalupa

Membership in an art community Hearts of Creation
The guild used to meet regularly every other wednesday at a pub, mainly in legendary Café Laundry. The members used to paint and draw together, share their experiences and knowledge. Up to this moment I was only able to use drawing tablet, pen, marker and ballpoint pen, but thanks to observation and advice by others I quickly started to learn new art techniques. Thanks to this community I was able to meet many good and skillful people to which I owe for many experiences, advices, valuable information and work opportunities. Together we regularly attended charitable auctions. The profit was used to help animal shelters, non-profit organizations etc. Also I was able to attend interesting public events where we live painted for an audience. Step by step the people began to know about me and started to give my first bigger commissions. The community stopped meeting up in 2019, but the friendships prevail.

Clay sculpting course at Salesian youth centre in Žabovřesky
For a short time I returned to sculpting with clay on the impulse of my ex-girlfriend. For two years I attended evening courses with mothers that came here to relax. I could use the materials, tools and kiln and that was enough for me at that time.
  • 2015 - 2017
VIDA! science center - guide + casual graphics and illustration
I finished my first large illustration project at this place - Fort VIDArd - this interactive game is still being used in the center.
  • 2017
First exhibition at Café Bavard in Brno
My art is still on display at this place. I also decorated the interior with a few small scale murals.
  • 2017 - 2018
    Brand Promotion - graphic designer
I gained the much needed experience in pre-printing data preparation and learned different printing methods, embroideries and learned to use new graphic programs.
  • 2018
I’ve filed for my business license and bought iPad Pro 12.9”
For the money I made I bought my first portable graphic tablet and because at that time I saw an opportunity to make my dream come true - I had enough commissions for a few months ahead and some saved money - I decided to jump into it and grab the opportunity by the hair. I wanted to start my own art studio to have more space to create art and started to look around for a place.
  • 2018 - November
I created my own art studio and started freelancing
Thanks to my dad I found a great place. He also made large art enamel for me. I owe him for that. Having my own art studio opened new doors for me - finally I was able to paint large-scale canvases, use dirty art techniques, experiment, use spray cans, sculpt clay, paint on objects, everything I couldn’t do up to this moment.
