The video of the mural realization was created by Radek Mauer / DNT2.
The design of the mural for the noise barrier at the Tuřany sports complex was created to connect the depicted motifs with the place and its surroundings—its location, history, and also the sports that can be practiced directly at the site.
The central motif is a tendril that travels across all seven panels, winding around objects on the other panels and gradually moving towards the water source. The sun on the middle panel provides the energy the plant needs to grow. This panel also features a bee, which, through its industriousness, helps the plants bear fruit—this is the largest object on the panels. From right to left, the tendrils consist partly of ornamental symbols and partly take on a floral form: shoots, leaves, mostly in shades of green. On each panel, there is a figure referencing the activities in the park itself or related to Tuřany, Holásky, Dvorska, and Ivanovice—life in these places and their typical elements.
The design was created digitally and then painted onto the wall in collaboration with the Ateliér MalujemeJinak.
The photos on-site were taken by Radek Mauer (DNT2) a Filip Kůřil.

This panel refers to Holásky with its ponds and habitats, the airport, and the bike path. In the water lives a mythical creature, which not only catches planes flying by but is also a passionate fisherman. It has just caught the goldfish, but a girl on a bicycle saves it mid-jump in a “superman” position, cutting the fishing line with a scissor gesture and releasing the fish back into freedom. As a reward, the fish grants her three wishes. A pea tendril from the first panel reaches into the water, growing through all the panels and drawing water.

This panel references the sandbox, Tuřany, and the nearby school. The father is watching over his child as they build the Church of the Annunciation of the Virgin Mary from sand. The child holds a rake, while the father has a small shovel. He is tired from working, but enjoys the time spent with his son. He is teaching him the craft—he is the builder of the mentioned church. The sandcastle church is crumbling, and at the lowest level, there are sandcastles, a bucket, and a pile of sifted sand: a symbol of the passage of time and the generations that have passed through Tuřany.

This panel refers to the skatepark, the nearby school, the former collective farm (JZD), and the multipurpose sports field. A cow on a scooter is learning a trick—jumping while rotating the scooter in the air. Next to her, a schoolboy, still with a backpack on his back, is jumping towards a basketball hoop and preparing to dunk. In the distance, a flying saucer watches the scene.

This panel references the skatepark, the agricultural history of the area, the surrounding fields, gardens, and the importance of bees’ work. A bee sits on a concrete barrier, playing with a skateboard like a fingerboard, while using its other hand to press a spray can, painting on the concrete panel. Behind the barrier, an annoyed flower looks on, neglected by the bee, which is too caught up in its fun and neglecting its true mission: pollination.

This panel references the skatepark, the workout zone, and Brno-Ivanovice. Grandma is sitting on a bench, observing the other skateboarders. She herself arrived on a longboard, and in her wheeled bag, she has a skateboard in case she wants to show off some tricks. The Tuřany cabbage arrives on a longboard and, with a “shaka” gesture, salutes her. A cat is stretching on a tendril, and above it, a space shuttle has landed—this is the chapel of the Virgin Mary, located in Brno-Ivanovice.

This panel references the parkour playground, the agricultural history of the area, gardening, domestic chicken farming, and the horse racing track in Dvorska. The pig is jumping over a barrier with the word “porkour” written on it—a humorous twist on the word “parkour,” where part of the word is replaced with “pork” (pig meat). On a tendril, a horse is caught mid-jump, having been chasing its motivation—a carrot. It has caught up with the carrot, thus ending its race with the pig. In the background, a rooster loudly comments on their performance.

This panel references the multipurpose sports field, home gardens, the agricultural history of the area, and the nearby dog park. A pea pod spits out spherical objects: it starts with a pea, followed by a soccer ball, a tennis ball, a basketball, a volleyball, and even planets, which are scattered across all the panels. An excited dog is trying to block these flying objects mid-air with a jump.
